Description

Within a group, people will participate more to avoid letting down their peers. Even if someone doesn’t want to be in training, he won’t punish his partner. When learners work together as partners or team, it can bring out their best. They may not be motivated to please the trainer, but they are motivated to come through for their partners who are counting on their cooperation. Discover how to motivate learners with activities you can make your own.

Key Outcomes:
  • Discover what works and what doesn’t work to motivate adult learners
  • Examine how rewards, recognition, and approval can tap into intrinsic motivation
  • Discuss one size doesn’t fit all—but fits most—and why that matters
