2026 Choice Awards Frequently Asked Questions
Sponsored by Training magazine, the Training Magazine Network Choice Awards are crowd-sourced awards that recognize learning and development/training s for the effectiveness of their tools and solutions. The opportunity to cast a vote is annually promoted by Training magazine and to Training Magazine Network’s member network community and participating companies to share with their client base. Participants vote for the providers who have delivered the most effective tools and solutions for their work in the following seven (7) categories:
- Authoring & Learning Design Tools
- Custom Content Development
- Gamification & Game-Based Learning
- Immersive & Spatial Learning Technologies
- Leadership Development
- LMS
- Measurement & Assessment
When did the most recent voting occur?
Voting for the 2025 program was open from mid-April and ran through June 6, 2025. Winners were announced in the September 2025 issue of Training magazine.
2026 voting will begin in April 2026 and end in June 2026.
How are the winners determined?
Winners are determined by a combination of the total number of votes received, combined with an average weighted effectiveness score. Because of this determination, there is not a set number of winners per category.
Participants can submit a survey ballot in as many of the seven (7) categories as are applicable to them. However, they can submit only one (1) ballot per category. Multiple employees from the same company are permitted to vote but they are restricted from voting for their own company. In each category, participants can rank up to 20 providers with which they are familiar and/or have some personal interaction within the past two (2) years. Participants rank providers based on effectiveness: one (1) for “not at all effective” up to five (5) for “very effective.” Voting results are reviewed for fraudulent activity and are adjusted accordingly.
When and how will the 2026 winners be announced?
The winners of the 2026 Training Magazine Network Choice Awards will be notified by email in late August 2026, and the official announcement will be published on www.TrainingMagNetwork.com and www.TrainingMag.com. The winners will also be featured in the November 2026 print and digital issue of Training magazine.
How are the provider options listed in each category determined?
An alphabetical list in each of the seven (7) categories will be compiled based on Training magazine and Training Magazine Network’s own industry data and research and will include provider companies that both have and have not done business or partnered with Training magazine and its affiliates. Voters will have the opportunity to enter a preferred provider in each category if the company they wish to rank is not currently listed. Companies are welcome to submit their profile for inclusion consideration in the Choice Awards at any time by filling out this form.
Can companies apply for inclusion in the Choice Awards voting? Is there a fee to apply?
Companies are welcome to submit their profile for inclusion consideration in the Choice Awards at any time by filling out this form. Companies that submit accurate profiles in a relevant category will be considered by Training staff for inclusion in the current or next year’s ballot (depending on the timing of submission), as well as for inclusion in a full directory of solution providers. There is no fee to apply for inclusion in the Choice Awards, and no guarantee that companies will appear on each year’s ballot. Companies must be submitted by a Training Magazine Network member. Free memberships are available and can be obtained when filling out the submission form.

246 unique companies received votes in the 2025 program.
How many total votes were cast for the 2025 program?
More than 13,000 votes were cast in the 2025 program by over 2,000 unique voters.

Is there an incentive provided to encourage voting?
Yes. In 2026, participants who complete the voting survey can opt-in for the chance to win one of five $100 Visa gift cards. The survey winners will be notified by email in October 2026.
