When it comes to measuring the success of talent development, no metrics are more important to top executives than business impact and ROI. ATD-supported research indicates that the number one measure for executives is business impact, and the number two measure is ROI. In these studies, 74% of top executives want to see the ROI of learning, while 96% want to see the business impact of learning. For most talent development professionals, the challenge is to evaluate programs when there is little budget or time.
This session will show how to meet these challenges with limited resources. One myth about ROI is that the process is too expensive and complex. The reality is that it is a logical process using simple, easy steps with plenty of cost-saving opportunities. Most organizations have the resources to successfully demonstrate the value of their programs—they just may not realize it. Former bank president, HR Executive, and learning manager, Phillips provides consulting services to Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit entities, and government and non-governmental organizations worldwide. He is the author or editor of more than 100 books, conducts workshops, and presents at conferences worldwide.

The American Society for Training and Development gave him the award, Distinguished Contribution to Workplace Learning and Development, and the Thought Leader Award (its highest award).
