Comparing the Kirkpatrick Model and the ROI Methodology. This new 90-minute Masters Series Lab will take you beyond the theory of learning evaluation to the practical application of measuring business impact. Participants will explore the Kirkpatrick Model and ROI Methodology side-by-side, working through real-world evaluation challenges to build a more credible, results-focused evaluation strategy for your organization.
Two of the most widely recognized evaluation systems in learning and development are the Kirkpatrick model (levels of evaluation) and the ROI Methodology (Which provides up to six types of data). This webinar examines both approaches in depth, tracing their historical development, examining their credibility, and exploring the value they deliver to key stakeholders.
We will review the origins of each model, beginning in the 1950s when Raymond Katzell first outlined four steps for training evaluation.
This session will explore why evaluation is such an important issue, how both systems have evolved and been refined, and how users, sponsors, and funders perceive the value of each approach. The session will summarize the evidence of use, scope of implementation, and credibility from the evidence of use, scope of implementation, and credibility from the perspective of those who sponsor, support, and fund learning and development.
Participants will see a side-by-side comparison of the two models and will leave with enough information to determine which approach, or combination of approaches, best fits their own context.
